Q: Why is Teen Challenge one of the most effective drug recovery programs in America for individuals of all ages?

A: Our approach is built on the foundation that a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is essential for long-term success.

Repeatedly, pastors are faced with people who never thought "it" could happen to them. Addiction does not discriminate. It does not care about age, race, sex or religion. No part of your congregation is immune to the devastation that accompanies addictions of all kinds--not those in the youth group, on the deacon board, in the choir, in the children's ministry, or on your leadership team. Across Alabama, Teen Challenge Centers are reaching out to serve the needs of the whole person--no matter what their background, economic situation or denominational affiliation.

Giving financially to your local Teen Challenge, sponsoring a student in crisis, hosting a Teen Challenge event or fundraiser, connecting your local Teen Challenge center with families or individuals in need and bringing much needed awareness to the church are just a few ways you can help. Other ways to help include working with local law enforcement officials to assist in helping those facing incarceration, community service work programs, volunteering to help in a center, mentoring graduates, etc. In many instances, Teen Challenge can offer positive, Christ-centered alternatives to secular programs.
